Effective 2009, Maralyn is President of the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association and Norm in on the Board of Directors of the National Alliance of Life Companies.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Maralyn D. Hill received her Masters in the field of Organizational Development from the University of Massachusetts. She also had an advertising and marketing company for 15 years. She spends a lot of time coaching writers. She hosted and produced a TV show, "Dishing with Carolina Chefs," from 2002 to 2006. Maralyn served on the Board of Directors of the International Food Wine & Travel Writers Association from Dec 2006 to Dec 2014 and was President from Dec. 2008 to Dec. 2012. She is currently Executive Editor of Luxe Beat Magazine, an online digital and POD luxury lifestyle publication--www.luxebeatmag.com. Norman, Maralyn and Brenda C. Hill have developed www.booksbyhills.com to promote the books they have authored. The three speak and Maralyn and Brenda conduct writing workshops.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?

How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I work virtually or clients will meet with me. If local, at my office or their business, or if somewhere else in the world, they will fly me in.

You can if you think you can. If you think you are beaten...you are! If you think you dare not...you don't! Success begins with your own will. It's all in your state of mind. Life's battles are not always won by those who are stronger and fasater; and sooner or later, the person who wins is the person who thinks he can. --I wish I knew who to credit for this quote I wrote down 35 years ago. I don't.
